Curated by Chen Bolin – known for his starring roles in the popular film ‘The Blue Door’ and the drama series ‘In Time With You’ – the distinctive collection provides inspiration, new perspectives, and a commentary on modern life. The exhibition features a roster of well-known names, including Mark Grotjahn, Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, Ding Yi and Yoshitomo Nara, as well as innovative new creatives at the forefront of contemporary art, such as Javier Calleja, Kei Imazu, Tomokazu Matsuyama, Yukimasa Ida and Miwa Komatsu.

WHY
Chen Bolin has maintained a passionate dedication to cinema and the arts. He opened his own creative space in 2021 to cultivate young talent before becoming the ambassador of the Andy Warhol Kyoto exhibition last year. Throughout his career as an actor, Chen Bolin has been able to channel the visions and emotions of his directors, connecting with the viewer through the screen. As a curator for Sotheby’s, Chen Bolin is taking up the role of active creator, transmitting his own unique vision and perspective through the artworks selected for this sale.
