Have you already seen these works at The Peninsula Hong Kong? Launching on Monday 24 March, as part of #hkartweek and the hotel's annual 'Art in Resonance' programme, see a stunning textile installation 'She's Bestowed Love' by Shanghai-based artist Lin Fanglu in the lobby, in partnership with the Victoria and Albert Museum. In addition, the programme features visionary local artist, Chris Cheung (aka h0nh1m)'s zen-like tea pavilion on the first floor, titled 'The Flow Pavilion'. Lastly, presenting a commissioned monumental moon installation on the façade, you can't miss local artist Phoebe Hui's 'Lunar Rainbow' - it really is a sight to behold, with 49 discrete pieces that come together to form the lunar moon at a single focal point - at the entrance to the hotel in front of its iconic fountain.
The programme, curated by the art-partners team, is a testament to The Peninsula’s commitment to supporting the work of visionary artists.

Through a series of abstract paintings, London-based Canadian artist Michele Fletcher, envisions a world where plant life reigns supreme, supplanting human presence and hinting at a transformed world order. The paintings offer a phantasmagoric realm devoid of human figures, where lush vegetation thrives with unchecked vitality, symbolising an enduring natural cycle. The paintings, created in a single sitting that can extend up to 12 hours, embody physical endurance and an intimate connection between artist and artwork. Through scraped, dragged, and dripped paint, Fletcher's gestural brushwork weaves sinuous forms reminiscent of floral elements, reflecting a harmonious blend of expressive freedom and vibrant chromatic explorations.
