WHAT
In this solo exhibition, the artist presents 40 new figurative paintings from 2022 to 2023 in everyday scenes as well as scenes of leisure. The new series of paintings stray from his painting habits and language logic of the past, as he adds an air of directness and simplicity to his work, with the use of simple vibrant colours and bold lines. Doing this, he strives to possess determination and attitude as he sets upon his breakthrough journey.

WHY
In the past, the artist was fascinated with traditions and classics. Today, this helps him to delineate the historical coordinates in his paintings as well as to diversify his expressions. He breaks past the visual logic of classical oil painting and transforms the conventions of traditional Chinese painting. By doing this, the artist succeeds in refining his own style and language.
