1) An artist whose work I would pick to hang in my living room is…
Jason: Just 1 artist?!… Impossible. So I’ll tell you a few of those on my wall at the moment: Aida Wilde, J. Demsky, Go Hung, Isaac Cordal, Suiko, Caratoes, Stern Rockwell, Simon Birch, Xeme and others.
Maria: I’ve always been a big fan of Olafur Eliasson’s work.
2) My favourite museum in the world is…
Jason: The Tate Modern, MoMA (when it’s summer programmes at PS1).
Maria: The V&A, and the New Museum.
3) The best exhibition I’ve seen in recent years was…
Jason: I’ll give you two, Barry McGee at Perrotin, and Brainrental’s ’Digital Fitness’ at K11.
Maria: Alexander McQueen at the V&A, Issey Miyaki at the National Art Center in Tokyo, Tobias Klein at the Hong Kong University.
4) I am inspired when…
Jason: When I see passionate and dedicated people doing good things.
Maria: I am relaxed and allow myself the time to explore and play.
5) An object I would never part with is…
Jason: My phone.
Maria: My passport.
6) My style icon is…
Jason: My what?
Maria: I can wear Ann Demeulemeester anytime, any day.
7) The favourite thing about my career is…
Jason: We get to meet and work with so many amazing artists.
Maria: I can do what I love.
8) If I weren’t doing what I do now, I would be…
Jason: Either something in architecture or design still, or something connected to environmental preservation.
Maria: It will always be something in the arts. Maybe in different art forms but it will always be in the arts. If it can’t be art related then I would like to be a writer, radio show host / modern day podcaster, I guess?
9) The best gift or experience that I was given was…
Jason: Maria’s and my daughter.
Maria: Jason’s and my daughter, a thousand times!
