Voyage of the Night
The young and upcoming Hong Kong artist’s most recent body of works was created in the past year. These works pertain to themes of history, social phenomena, status of living, and personal experiences, which he brings to light using different perspectives. According to the artist, his paintings look into the subconscious, but are realistic at the same time.
The exhibition captures Hong Kong during the night time, when the artist can most enjoy time alone, away from the bustling crowds of the city. The exhibition expresses lessons the artist has learned as well as the essence of life he’s gained from his own experiences. Instead of striving to make elegant, perfect creations, he aims to truthfully showcase the beauty in fragility.
