As part of Swire Properties Arts Month, this contemporary art exhibition debuts 12 one-of-a-kind stone sculptures created by Hong Kong-based French artist, Polo Bourieau. Known for his monumental sculptures, Bourieau draws inspirations from Chinese scholars’ rocks, the abundance of stone deposits formed by the forces of nature, and the aesthetics of architecture created by humans.

Produced by art consultant Alison Pickett, each of the life-size sculptures in this exquisite collection is hand-carved from a single piece of stone sourced internationally, from France, Italy, Spain, Iran and the Kurdistan region. The monumental sculptures narrate a fictitious story of their own, reflecting humanity’s indelible mark on the planet. A powerful experience that invites visitors to contemplate the dialogue between nature-made wonders and man-made art, experience the unique blend of artistic and natural elements in Bourieau’s work.
