Stephen King: A Brush with Nature
August 22 - October 19
Stephen King
WHAT
The exhibition marks the award-winning photographer’s 3rd solo with the gallery. Featuring his recent photographs taken during his travels in Scotland, Iceland, the US and Japan, most of which have never been shown before, the images in the presentation examine nature’s varied patterns through his lens, verging on abstraction and evoking the Chinese ink brush stroke.
WHY
Fascinated by patterns formed by nature, the artist enjoys traveling the world in search of images that explore the landscape’s capacity for both drama and serenity. His works have been described as painterly, a style that he has been able to cultivate through his use of light, colour and composition.
