Offering a panoramic view of the ongoing renascence of the Hong Kong printmaking scene with over 80 artworks, it highlights the unique qualities of different printmaking styles, including relief, intaglio and stencil.

WHY
In his book ‘Three Parallel Artworlds’ (2014), Hanart founder, Johnson Chang Tsong-Zung notes the important influence of the New Chinese Woodcut Movement of the early 20th century, which promoted the creation and dissemination of realist woodcuts to highlight issues of social and political injustice. With over 80 artworks on view, the exhibition certain provides a rich ground for the exploration of the aesthetic appeal and technical richness of fine art prints, giving much deserved attention to this medium.
