WHAT
Christie’s auction season culminates with their Autumn Auctions at the Convention and Exhibition Centre. You’re spoilt for choice with 16 different sales exhibitions (from Wine and Watches, to Modern Art and Chinese paintings). The 20th and 21st Century Evening sale (30 Nov) features a spectacular array of masterpieces by Joan Mitchell, Zao Wou-ki, Yoshitomo Nara, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Georg Baselitz, George Condo, Zeng Fan-zhi, and a dedicated auction of works by Marc Chagall (featured above). Outstanding Chinese paintings, ceramics, works of art, and furniture are also featured, as well as masterpieces of cloisonné enamel and important paintings by Lin Fengmian from the renowned collection of philanthropist and connoisseur, Robert Chang. Live events and auctions are accompanied by a series of online sales across art and luxury. The art auctions typically take place towards the end, which allows more time for viewing.
