Bordercrossing: Possibilities and Interactions

September 3, 2023 - October 8, 2023

WHAT
The group show examines the current art world scene, and delves into the boundary between reality and imagination. Showcasing works by 30 artists born between the 1980s and 1990s, the exhibition highlights their explorations of modern social landscapes and the inner world of individuals. It emphasises decentralised creations, notions of human ‘commonality’, and the dynamic shifts of contemporaneity.

WHY
Organised in partnership with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and Qatar Museums, the exhibition presents a diverse range of artistic expressions by emerging artists, each with their unique approach to crossing the border between reality and imagination. By engaging with themes of nature, ruins, artefacts, and digitisation, viewers are prompted to reevaluate perspectives, question certainties, and embrace the infinite possibilities of contemporary art in the digital age.
