WHAT
With a career spanning over 6 decades, the esteemed Japanese artist has established himself as a pioneering force in the art world. As a member of the Fluxus movement, his artworks transcend traditional boundaries, engaging all five senses and merging seamlessly with their surroundings. Known for his dynamic and multi-sensory approach to art, Ay-O coined the term ‘Nijitsukai’ (虹使い), meaning ‘rainbow-charming’ in Japanese.
