Art Basel Hong Kong presented its first Asian edition in 2013 to complement Art Basel Basel and Art Basel Miami. Highlighting modern and contemporary art from around the world, the fair features premier galleries from Asia and beyond, and provides an in-depth overview of Asia-Pacific’s astonishing diversity as well as global artistic perspectives. As the main anchor event during Hong Kong Art Week, this year’s Hong Kong edition resumes all pre-COVID operations, and features an impressive 243 international galleries, and 8 sectors: Galleries, Insights, Discoveries, Film, Kabinett, Encounters, Magazines and Conversations.

WHY
As one of the most prestigious art fairs of the world, explore a diverse selection of Asian and international contemporary art. The fair is divided into 8 sectors, and each sector has a specific focus, from monumental works to historical voices from the Asia-Pacific region. We especially love the fair’s curated projects within the individual gallery booths, which delve deeper into history to focus on the different practices of various artists. In addition, the Encounters sector – the show’s selection of large-scale installations – is particularly noteworthy.
