Public Art at Exchange Square Forum
WHAT
The monumental sculptures at the Forum of Exchange Square are by 4 internationally renowned artists. The late Lynn Chadwick and Dame Elisabeth Jean Frink are both English, while Ju Ming is Taiwanese. Chinese sculptor Ren Zhe (b.1983) is the youngest of the group and has been gaining a lot of press attention in recent years for his stainless steel warrior figures. The monumental works can be found at the Forum, which is the sitting-out area between One and Two Exchange Square, and Three Exchange Square.
WHY
No matter their style or medium, the sculptures inspire and awe passers-by as they go about their daily grind. We especially love Taiwanese artist Ju Ming’s sturdy yet graceful ‘Tai Chi’ sculptures, which bring calm and serenity to the hustle and bustle of this Central hub, as well as Dame Elisabeth Jean Frink’s 2 ‘Water Buffalo’ sculptures, which offer passers-by a respite from Hong Kong’s urban jungle.
