WHAT
The exhibition of recent installations, sculptures, and films by the emerging Hong Kong artist consists of sizeable artworks that thematically and formally correspond to one another. The humorous collection explores the aesthetic meaning(-lessness) of bulls***, expanding Wong’s curious body of art that revolves around circular narratives and motifs. As the sole voice-over narrator for many of his videos and animations, he tells stories about interpersonal connections and relationships.

WHY
The artist is known for tongue-in-cheek works that combine the crass and the colourful to mount a discourse around repressed sexuality, personal sentiments and political limitations. Expect to see flashing, pop-like imageries, visual and auditory narrations that explicitly touch upon sex, politics and social relations, and vibrant installations that are extensions of the artist’s fantastical animation world.
