A Slice of Time

January 13 - February 17

WHAT
This is the Hong Kong artist’s second solo exhibition at the gallery, which explores the subjective experience of time and its relationship to personal perception and life events. The small selection of 11 light-coloured pastel watercolour works depict fleeting moments and latent memories, capturing the everlasting and ephemeral nature of daily life.

WHY
This exhibition offers a mindful exploration of time and personal perception, particularly within the context of Covid’s disorienting effect. By breaking daily life into fragments and presenting them in her works, the artist highlights the moments that become obscured or shine brightly but fleetingly. Through her sensitive portrayal of time, she prompts viewers to reflect on the significance of each passing moment and find beauty in the ordinary, delivered in her signature soft-spoken style.
