WHAT
Established in 1993, French May is one of the largest cultural events in Asia. With over 200,000 visitors each year, it has become an iconic part of Hong Kong’s cultural scene, presenting more than 100 programmes over three months. The festival showcases the most diversified art forms by bringing exhibitions and performances to various venues and districts, reaching out to the entire community. With around 20 presentations, the art programmes are particularly noteworthy:

WHY
For over 30 years, the French May Art Festival has been based locally in Hong Kong and has presented an international perspective. In line with Hong Kong’s urban history and positioning, its art exhibitions showcase a diverse range of mediums that feature both upcoming and established local and international artists.
