Founder & Managing Director of CL3 Architects

As Founder and Managing Director of CL3 Architects Ltd. (CL3), Dr. William Lim brings over 30 years of experience to his projects. An acclaimed architect and artist, William graduated from Cornell University and has spent the past two decades at the forefront of architecture, culture and art.

Since founding CL3 in 1992, William has established a notable presence on the global design scene. The studio’s diverse, award-winning portfolio includes architectural and interior projects for hotels, restaurants, retail, corporate, residences and art installations. Marina Bay Sands Singapore, Raffles City Chongqing, Gaysorn II Bangkok, H Queen’s Hong Kong are some of these award-winning projects.William is also an accomplished artist focusing on large-scale installations.Throughout his art career, he has been shown internationally, most notably LanternWonderland HK 2003 & 2011; Venice Biennale’s International Architectural Exhibition in 2006 & 2010; Hong Kong & Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture in2007, 2009 and 2017; and Architecture and Heritage: Unearthing Future, Seoul, Korea,2019. His signature piece, West Kowloon Bamboo Theatre, was awarded the Grand Award and Special Award for Culture in the Design for Asia Award in 2013. Committed to promoting culture and education, William is currently on the Board ofTrustees for Cornell University, member of Arts and Culture Council and Gallery Advisory Committee for Asia Society Hong Kong Center, and member of Museum Expert Advisers for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. He was conferred an Honorary Doctorate degree by Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2018

 Henrietta Tsui-Leung

Co-Founder of the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association

A pioneer and unifier of the Hong Kong art gallery scene, Dr. Henrietta Tsui-Leung co-founded the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association in 2012. She established Ora-Ora in 2006 and has successfully launched the international careers of many contemporary artists, building major exhibition opportunities at international museums and art fairs.

Dr. Tsui-Leung has had a decisive impact on the evolution of contemporary ink art, bringing artists of diverse visions, concepts and media to new audiences. Before her career in the arts, Dr. Tsui-Leung spent 11 years in Corporate and Investment banking with Citigroup and HSBC, specialising in the Real Estate and Public Institution Sectors.

A life-long learner, Dr. Tsui-Leung obtained undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Economics from Queens University, and an MBA from HKUST and Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. In 2018, she completed her PhD degree in Art Theory and Criticism at Shanghai University. Her doctorate thesis published was a Comparative Study on the Art Finance Development between the East and the West. Dr. Tsui-Leung is keen to develop the art ecology of Hong Kong and China in different ways. She was appointed a Co-opted Member of the Sub-committee on Visual Arts under the Advisory Committee on Arts Development in the Home Affairs Bureau of Hong Kong. She serves as an art advisor for different multi-national institutions and provides professional opinions on art collections. She is also a Senior Research Analyst of the China Art Industry Research Institute and the China Art Economics Institute. She is regularly invited to speak as a thought leader, is a columnist in art market magazines, and publishes academic papers on contemporary ink and art finance in the global art market. A prolific female cultural entrepreneur, she plays an active role in the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation Hong Kong. She was recognised as one of the Top 100 Chinese Women Entrepreneurs and Collector of the Year by Xinhuanet in China.

 JJ Acuna
 Founder of JJ ACUNA / BESPOKE STUDIO

Award-winning interior designer James JJ Acuna, founded JJ ACUNA / BESPOKE STUDIO in Hong Kong and Manila in 2015. Trained in architecture under Cornell and Columbia Universities’
design programmes, Acuna has since amassed over 15 years of experience working on a wide range of lifestyle projects in Hong Kong, China, and the Asian region at large.

With the establishment of his Hong Kong and Manila-based studios, Acuna’s aim is to help formulate bespoke design solutions for lifestyle and well-travelled clients, via his lens and insight as a prolific designer and thought-leader on global trends in relation to hospitality design, service, and operation. Since launching his design studio 5 years ago, Acuna has since received the distinction of the ‘40 Under 40 Award’ for his work from Perspective magazine, won the Interior Designer of the Year Award from Design Anthology magazine in 2018, and has since received the distinction of being included in the Phaidon Press book By Design: The World’s Best Contemporary Interior Designers, a compilation of the world’s 100 best designers in 2021.

 Katie de Tilly
Founder & Director of 10 Chancery Lane Gallery

Katie de Tilly arrived in Hong Kong in 1994 when Chinese and Asian contemporary art had yet to come into international focus. With a particular interest in the rich historical, social and cultural context of China and the development in Asia of its contemporary art scene, she founded 10 Chancery Lane Gallery in 2001, expanding it in 2006 and 2008 with warehouse project spaces in Chai Wan. Katie holds degrees in Biology, Chemistry & Comparative Literature from the US, and a Diploma in Clinical Acupuncture from Hong Kong University. She contributed a monthly column called Artspy for Baccarat Magazine from 2007-2015.

She spearheaded the Chai Wan art and design community, and co-organised Chai Wan Mei, a yearly art and design festival from 2013-2015. She has been on the board of the Tate Modern Asia Pacific Acquisitions Committee (APAC), as well as the Industry Advisory Committee (IAC) of RMIT University School of Art / Hong Kong Art School. Katie is also a founding member and former Co-President of the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association (HKAGA), as well as a Founding Patron of the M+ Patrons. She also heads the HKAGA HK Artists Residency Abroad Funding Scheme, and is on the working group of Art Power HK. Katie and her husband, Georges, live in the hills of Sai Kung where they house part of their art collection, which focuses on Asia. They have 4 children.

Founders of dslcollection

Sylvain and Dominique Lévy are art patrons who founded the dslcollection in 2005. Today, Karen Lévy is also actively involved in helping build the collection, which focuses on contemporary Chinese art. The collection comprises major works from 200 contemporary Chinese artists. dslcollection distinguishes itself from other collections of contemporary Chinese art through a strict collecting concept.

Sylvain and Dominique Lévy believe that the 21st century collector must think beyond established boundaries. Therefore, the dslcollection not only actively promotes the discovery and study of Chinese contemporary artistic production, but also makes use of the latest technologies. Tools such as the internet, interactive programmes, virtual exhibitions and electronic books help the dslcollection achieve greater visibility, and provide the means to share the experience of contemporary culture. Openness, the nomadic and sharing are core concepts of the dslcollection
