WHAT
As an art fair held in Shanghai since 2014, the 10th edition of the West Bund Art & Design provides a platform for international and local galleries to showcase high-quality modern and contemporary artworks. With diverse exhibitions and events at museums and galleries, the fair enriches Shanghai’s art scene and establishes the city as an important destination on the global art calendar.

WHY
In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the fair presents a special video series consisting of 25 episodes. This series features renowned professionals from the art industry, including Ding Yi, a representative figure in abstract art in China; the artist duo Birdhead; Zhang Qinghong, the founder of Chronus Art Center (CAC), China’s first nonprofit art organisation; emerging abstract artist Wang Yi, and more. These episodes offer a unique opportunity to hear firsthand accounts from established and emerging Chinese artists and industry professionals, who share their artistic practices, reflections on past exhibitions, challenges, and breakthroughs in the evolving art landscape.
