WHAT
Poetic Enigma I is an exhibition of NFTs created by 3 notable artists of the contemporary art world, and 4 NFT creators established in the digital world. The showcase engages audiences with its unique perspectives on philosophy and life, and reflects the trending digital culture of the NFT world. The exhibition takes place in two parts:

WHY
Most noteworthy are the works by 3 artists with existing contemporary art practices pre-dating the age of NFTs.

Hailing from Hunan province, Peng Jian expounds on the ancient Chinese architectural discipline of jiehua, where ruler tools were used for the accurate and proportionate depictions. The process is almost meditative, and the precision and clarity of mind are reflected in Harmony X – a colourful and geometric composition that is balanced and harmonious.

Born in Macau and based in Beijing, Cindy Ng reinterprets her contemporary Chinese ink works in sensual flowing digital creations, promoting much-needed therapeutic serenity in our ever-changing world.

By contrast, US-born Hong Konger, Ernest Chang is a multi-disciplinary artist, and also founder of The Stallery, a hybrid gallery and studio. Using cutting-edge visual media, digital innovations, and futuristic elements, Chang’s NFTs investigate the themes of contemporary urban life, consumerism, and technology.
