WHAT
Curated by Ying Kwok, the group exhibition is the opening programme of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council’s (HKADC) new premises in Aberdeen. Featuring local visual and media artists, the multi-media show focuses on the past and present culture of the Wong Chuk Hang district. Located in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, Wong Chuk Hang has always had a unique character from its geographical position, history, and urban planning. The exhibition allows the artists to reveal hidden legends and anecdotes in the district. Taking different perspectives, they give a comprehensive review of the community.

WHY
The HKADC’s new premises include art studios, a multi-purpose arts space, an arts information centre, and the permanent administration office of the HKADC. With this exhibition, audiences can look forward to the beginning of a rich programme of exhibitions, performances, workshops, docent tours, and various art events, the goal of which is to showcase local artists through interactive, educational, and innovative activities.
