WHAT
The New York based Italian artist’s second solo exhibition with the gallery is a showcase of new works in his specialty mediums of ceramic and fabric. His method of working with fabric consists of forming simple human figures out of geometric shapes that he cuts from industrial and handcrafted fabrics, which appear to have a sort of plastic, sculptural quality. Along with these works are actual terracotta sculptures created during his stay in Albisola’s historic ceramic factory, Ernan Design Studio, in the summer of 2022. Staying in a factory where veteran artists, Lucio Fontana and Arturo Martini worked served as inspiration for this new body of works.

WHY
The artist’s works recount the human experience, where the landscape is a silent witness to figurative bodies. In addition, the artist is able to merge and reconcile the delicate nature of design with the radical nature of stitched fabric collages. In his expressive vocabulary, the dialogue between these two mediums produces astounding plastic, formal, and poetic effects.
