WHAT

The summer group exhibition consists of works from eight artists from various backgrounds and countries, comprising diverse mediums ranging from glass to drawings on canvas. Each artist interprets how reflected images can at times be accurate representations of the original image, but also distorted portrayals as well – both in literal as well as figurative senses.

WHY

Life is filled with a variety of perceptions of reality, from ones that accurately depict the state of the present to others that are distorted. The exhibition challenges the audience by prompting them to be aware of their perceptions of reality. Are we really understanding the world around us? Or are we merely assuaging ourselves with false narratives? The presentation urges us to take a good look at ourselves and to see beyond the images of ourselves on reflective surfaces.
