WHAT
The group exhibition features paintings by six artists, each with a distinct style. Each painting evokes a feeling of warmth and nostalgia created by food and is crafted using masterful techniques and minute observations. Each painting is also hyperrealistic in the hopes of evoking emotions in the viewers, highlighting the seemingly mundane foods and utensils used on a daily basis.

WHY
The presentation focuses on eliciting subconscious emotions within the viewer, such as feelings of comfort, nostalgia, and warmth, and even making mouths water – the images of wonton noodles and Hong Kong-style french toast are sure to appeal to fans of local café food. In congruence with the exhibition, there are also two lectures in Cantonese to discuss the creative choices made to produce the works.
