WHAT
The Hong Kong-based photographer, who graduated with a degree in Fine Art Photography from the Tokyo College of Photography (1986), is known for his superb black and white nudes and his stark compositions during the 1990s. The current exhibition showcases his platinum prints with his painting on each unique piece.

WHY
Visitors to the exhibition will note that Chu explores themes that touch upon surrealism and mythology, and even science fiction. His unique black and white photographs are punctuated with colourful strokes of paint meant to draw your eye away from the main subject matter in the composition.
