WHAT

Oi! On view at Deck are two distinct programmes titled ‘d’strict Remix’ and ‘Digital Muse’. ‘d’strict Remix’ is an anamorphic artistic illusion exhibition created in partnership with d’strict, a Korean art tech factory. Through the use of projection, the fusion of art and technology is showcased through optical illusions. ‘Digital Muse’ focuses on the theme of the mutation of ideas in the digital city and is curated by Ng Tsz-kwan, who has brought together a multitude of artists to convey their ideas of a digital city. 

WHY

‘d’strict Remix’ is focused on bringing real-life images such as nature and animals to life through art and rendering them rich with movement. ‘Digital Muse’ is more focused on the idea of digital cities and how they function and will function in the near future. While every piece is digital, the different mediums used are different; both exhibitions are perfect for viewers with an interest in technology within art, and they allow a deeper understanding of his exciting new medium of expression.
