WHAT
In the artist’s newest exhibition with the gallery, he presents his latest series of giant pots with the inclusion of themes from contemporary archaeology. When it comes to his works, he believes that timelessness is rooted in ‘the strength of the past, the vision of the future’ and lives by this adage in all of his works. He uses ancient, traditional forms of antique pots and the crackled earthenware effect and adorns them with contemporary images from pop culture. As a result, his paintings seem to reflect the idea of something old, something new, taking inspiration from the period of time before and the period of time after.

WHY
A contemporary take on what is normally perceived as an ancient object or antiquity, viewers will find enjoyment if they are interested in history and the symbols it holds for human observation. By mingling antique iconography with pop figures against garish backgrounds – such as executing his unique designs using media in new ways using an airbrush designed for painting car bodies and motorcycle tanks – the artist continues to produce new myths through his work.
