20/20 Hong Kong Print Art Exhibition

October 7, 2020 - July 26, 2021

WHAT WE KNOW

The Hong Kong Heritage Museum, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Open Printshop, has curated a collection of local printworks dating from the 1940s till 2020. The selected artworks showcase prints by masters and some of the latest creations by young artists. Visitors can see how the concepts of print art overlap with new media, such as computer animation, 3D printing, and augmented reality; and appreciate how printmaking techniques can be applied to creative works, such as illustration, design, zines, and other cultural products.

WHY WE LOVE IT

This exhibition takes you on a journey through Hong Kong’s printmaking history and its transformations in the last 80 years. 20 questions guide the viewer at the beginning of this exhibition, introducing us to all facets of printmaking. As you walk through the space, 20 sets of artworks provide answers to the 20 questions – truly a ‘20/20’ exhibition for the year 2020. More importantly, the engaging way the exhibition is curated will kindle your deeper understanding of our everyday relationship with the print and graphic world.
